Bonsai workshop on Group planting and Landscaping – April 16, 2011

This is to remind all the members to participate in the next Bonsai workshop on Group planting and Landscaping conducted by Mr Ponnusamy, eminent Bonsai Master and our Patron on Saturday, April 16, 2011 between 09 30 am to 02 00 pm at Presidency Club.

Bonsai demo on April 2, 2011

We had a creative demonstration by Mr Ravindran, an accomplished Master (from Nagercoil) on Saturday, 02 04 2011 at Presidency Club.
Mr Ravindran styled a number of plants brought by the members. He had given us valuable suggestions and tips to shape different styles. Members actively participated.
Mr Sivaji and Dr Yogesh and few other members made this workshop possible, by inviting Mr.Ravindran, and transporting the material for the workshop.
Mr Frederic arranged a sale of well chosen, appropriate plants for the benefit of the members.
Mrs Susheela Vergis arranged the venue, refreshments etc.
We the members of Bodhi Bonsai appreciate their efforts.

Next meeting for Bodhi members

Hope all of you have received Fredrick's SMS informing you that our Bonsai meeting will be held on Feb 12th between 2pm & 5 Pm at Gandhinagar Club , 4th main road , Gandhinagar , Chennai 600041. Phone : 24910796.
With due permission from the President , Secretary & Treasurer the invitation has been extended to GNC members to come as Guests to watch us working on Bonsai plants. The intent of this invitation is to attract members to Bodhi . A suggestion to keep the Theme of this meeting as "Creating a Bonsai Landscape " has been made to Mr. Fredrick & Mr Shivaji . Hope some of us can bring some materials required to make a landscape . I am looking forward to a response to this note from experts like Shivaji , Susheela , Dr Yogesh , Molly , Suganthi , Fredrick ......... to send us their thoughts on what are the relevant materials that could make this meeting interesting . Please respond asap
